: DBR Conservation
provides teams of highly talented individuals who specialise in the
conservation of historic and decorative surfaces. Work includes the
conservation of interiors and exteriors, which may be stone, wood,
mosaics, polychromy, sgrafitto, or plasterwork, as well as oil and water
gilding. The company also has expertise with object conservation,
paint analysis, wood and stone carving as well as decorative painting.
DBR Conservation has recently completed projects at Westminster Hall,
The Sovereign’s Robing Room, The Old Royal Naval College, The Royal
Artillery War Memorial, Buckingham Palace, Victoria and Albert
Museum, and St Thomas’s Chapel.

: Charles Hesp heads
a small team of skilled craftsmen which carries out decoration and
restoration work in stately homes, churches and large private houses
throughout England and Europe. Over the past few years contracts have
included Harewood House, Alnwick Castle, Syon House, the British
Embassy in Paris and Prague, St Paul’s Cathedral and numerous National
Trust stately homes. Hesp & Jones is skilled in all aspects of decoration
with an emphasis on trompe l’oeil work, marbling, graining and gilding.
The company also advises and writes reports for historic colour schemes.

Since 1873, Campbell Smith & Co have been conserving and restoring the
finest historic buildings, as well as modern buildings requiring decorating
with traditional skills. Our advice and consultancy complements the
highest quality of craftsmanship.
We have recently undertaken the redecoration to the Dining Room and
the conservation of the Baudin scheme in the Library at the world famous
Leeds Castle in Kent. These two rooms required different approaches,
utilising both the traditional decoration skills and the fine conservation
techniques that our expert team possess.
