The course provides technical training within an academic framework including the teaching of classical architecture and the philosophy of conservation. Teaching units include: structural conservation; materials, construction and skills; history and theory (classical architecture and the philosophy of conservation); and the law, including the international legal regime, relating to conservation and heritage management, costing and contracts and the building regulations.
