Since the practice was established in 1969, APEC has gained considerable experience in fabric conservation and creating new uses for older buildings.
Projects range from a rolling programme of repairs, and a major extension at Sheffield Cathedral, to restoring frontages of historic industrial buildings in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Recent schemes include cleaning, repairs, reordering and new accommodation for St Martin’s Parish Church, the focus of the new Bullring development in Birmingham, and working up the winning entry of the BBC’s 2004 ‘Restoration’ programme: the Saracen’s Head and Old Grammar School in King’s Norton. |
