ACCREDITATION
The Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE) identifies civil and structural engineers skilled in the conservation of historical structures and sites. Registrants have undergone a rigorous assessment procedure to demonstrate knowledge and experience of conservation matters well beyond their professional qualification as engineers.
The register is administered by the Institution of Civil Engineers and is recognised by English Heritage, Cadw (Wales), Historic Scotland, NIEA (Northern Ireland) and relevant professional bodies.
