GOVERNMENT BODY, IRELAND
Failte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority for Ireland, was formed in 2003 to increase the contribution of tourism to the economy by facilitating the development of a competitive and profitable tourism industry.
The body operates two heritage grant programs: the Heritage Fund which is designed to support small-scale projects (i.e. less than 200,000 euro); and the Upgrade of Existing Visitor Attractions program for projects of 250keuro+.
The Heritage Fund provides up to 80% funding for restoration/preservation works and other capital works that would enhance the visitor experience (so general presentation, orientation and interpretation works could all qualify). Product categories which q |
