STONE MASON

James Kirby has 20 years of experience in stone masonry and offers a high standard of craftsmanship. He feels privileged to work on some of Britain's most important historic buildings.

He specialises in sculpture and portrait sculpture, and also undertakes all aspects of stonemasonry, architectural carving, setting out, pointing and fixing.

Recent project involvement includes work on the restoration of the Chapter House, Westminster Abbey - three portrait heads and tracery repairs, a 23rds scale statue of Noah carved in Portland limestone. At Donnington Hall, Leicestershire James Kirby re-carved a coat of arms and two family crests for the portico. His work is displayed in the 47th exhibition of The Society of Portrait Sculptors.
