The Museum was founded to share the understanding of historic buildings and technology and the materials used to build them. The museum has developed a stimulating programme of building conservation courses for anyone who works directly or with others in conserving historic buildings, and has a diverse range of courses in traditional rural trades and crafts based on its collections.
