TIMBER SASH, BOX SASH, CASEMENTS, DOORSETS AND ENTRANCE DOORS
Mumford & Wood offers an extensive range of bespoke period window styles to meet varied specifications together with French doorsets, casement windows and entrance doors to complete the range. The styling detail is based on historically researched moulded sections which are particularly suitable for renovation and new projects requiring a traditional appearance. These create the delicate slender effect of traditional profiles and are virtually indistinguishable from originals.
Mumford & Wood's high performance, double glazed and factory finished ConservationTM period windows and doors are made to order from premium quality, clear grade Larch which is engineered and laminated for superior strength, durability and stability. They are BSI energy rated, ranging from 'A-C' depending on size and specification, carry the BSI Kite Mark and Energy Saving Trust badges of quality and distinction and are Secured by Design.
Mumford & Wood products exceed the current Part L Building Regulations requirements and satisfy those of 2013. ConservationTM casements, sashes and doors in a single or pair glazed configuration, are BSI 'A-C' rated and have an overall frame U-value of 1.4 W/mē.K.
A single glazed historic box sash is available for particularly sensitive renovations.
Operation is by heavy duty pre-tensioned spiral spring balances or traditional pre-stretched nylon cords with sash weights and brass pulley wheels.
