The Rooflight Company

CONSERVATION ROOFLIGHTS

Established in 1993 the Rooflight Company continues to market the first faithful replica of the Victorian cast-iron rooflight. Designed by architect Peter King, the Conservation Rooflight® lies flush with the roof, has slim profiles and a real glazing bar just like its precursor. While maintaining the appearance of the cast-iron model, the Conservation Rooflight® incorporates modern technical benefits such as the patented Thermoliner® thermal lining, which ensures no condensation problems occur, as well as energy-efficient glazing. According to a recent survey conducted with conservation officers, flush fitting is the most important feature of a conservation-style rooflight, with appropriate sizing coming second. The Rooflight Company is the only rooflight provider to offer eight small and narrow rooflights in the standard range and also offers a bespoke design service.

The Rooflight Company products have been specified in numerous English Heritage and National Trust buildings such as Wardour Castle and Sissinghurst Castle. Further examples of notable buildings include Kensington Palace and the Natural History Museum. However, the majority of installations are found on thousands of listed residential properties.

Building on the success of the Conservation Rooflight®, the Rooflight Company has developed flat roof products and the new frameless, flush-fitting neo® rooflight.
