New Design in Historic Buildings

The day will commence with a talk about understanding and context, form and approach for appropriate new designs for historic buildings. This session is aimed at architects, planners, historic building owners, or anyone with an interest in making sympathetic alterations and extensions to historic buildings. This will be followed by a practical workshop applying the principles explored in the first session. The talk and workshop will be provided by David Hills and Martin Dunseath-Franklin, partners at architectural practice Purcell.
