Taking place within the world heritage city of Bath the course may be taken over one year full time or two years part time. The course provides technical training within an academic framework including the teaching of classical architecture and the philosophy of conservation. Teaching units include: structural conservation; materials, construction and skills; history and theory (classical architecture and the philosophy of conservation); and the law, including the international legal regime, relating to conservation and heritage management, costing and contracts and the building regulations.
