Taking place within the UNESCO world heritage city of Bath the course is one-year full time. Taught by leading experts, the course provides technical training in materials, construction and skills and structural conservation, the management of conservation projects, adaptive re-use and research methods, within an academic framework of conservation philosophy and the international legal regime of charters and standards. Through lectures, seminars, case study field visits and group projects with students on other construction-related MSc programmes, the course prepares you for a range of professional positions. To apply for this course, you should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline relating to the built environment including architecture, engineering, surveying, planning, geography, archaeology, history, management, or other disciplines such as history of art where you wish to gain a vocational degree.
