TIMBER CONSERVATORS
: TRADA Technology’s consultants offer a cost-
effective holistic approach to conserving timber in historic buildings.
TRADA Technology conducts in situ timber strength assessments using
bespoke visual strength grading with engineering support where enhanced
timber strength values are required. Timber surveys are undertaken
using non-destructive techniques including decay detection drilling.
Partnerships allow TRADA Technology to examine the condition of the
full range of building materials. Where practicable the firm recommends
drying down wood to control fungal decay. However, where remedial
treatment or timber repairs are required, TRADA Technology can assist
with preparing appropriate specifications, source repair specialists and
oversee works. Clients include the National Trust and Cutty Sark Trust.
