IHBC Yearbook 2022

R E V I E W A N D A N A L Y S I S 89 IHBC AT COP26 MICHAEL NETTER With global attention on the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 last Autumn, the IHBC launched a podcast series called Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet , allowing us to be ‘present’ and personally engaging for the fortnight-long conference. As part of the wide-ranging ‘fringe’ series we successfully delivered a mix of live and pre- recorded content, exclusively digital; the podcast enabling our audience to hear from a broad range of sector experts without the logistical burden of having them all in a particular place at a particular time. With upwards of 16k listens at the time of writing, we’re pleased with the success of the format and hope that many have found the episodes accessible, digestible and stimulating. Each of the ten episodes, timed at around 20–30 minutes, is available on demand and free of charge through Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube, as well as through the IHBC’s own podcast website, giving you ready access to CPD whenever and wherever you want it. Each episode features a single (or sometimes double) guest expert interviewed by me, centred on the experience and knowledge of the guest. The collective experience is not intended to be comprehensive, but to stimulate thought and consideration in the listener about Attendees gather on day three of the UN Climate Change Conference UK 2021 in Glasgow.
