FUNDING RESOURCE
The Traditional Building Skills Bursary Scheme was established to address the heritage sector skills shortage. It is run in partnership with English Heritage, the National Trust, Cadw, Construction-Skills and the National Heritage Training Group.
The scheme offers funding and work placements for Learners partway through their training in a traditional building trade, allowing them to complete their vocational qualification while learning and developing new skills to work on historic buildings
The Learner must have achieved a Level 1 vocational qualification in their trade to be considered eligible for the Scheme. With the aid of a Heritage Lottery Grant the displaced apprentice will be placed in employment and become a traditional building skills Apprentice. They will work towards their vocational qualification in a specific trade and gain experience working in the Heritage Sector. |
