This is a lovely cottage in a semi-rural location. The immediate area is prone to periodic flooding and this will be discussed along with options to mitigate and the potential consequences. The cottage, Listed at Grade II in 1960, is of stone construction with a stone tiled roof. It has been previously 'damp-proofed', which hasn't worked and we will discuss this and what other more suitable options might have been considered instead. The property will be going through a sensitive 'care and repair' project and you'll get to talk to the owners about their intentions for the refurbishment and also for an addition to be constructed at the rear. |
