Join us here at Halifax Minster, in the heart of West Yorkshire, for an international festival of traditional stone carving where apprentice stonemasons, master stonemasons and sculptors from all over Europe will compete against each other to create new works in just two days. For 2025 the theme is Myths and Legends Each participant will have two days (approx. 16 working hours) to complete their carving, and each piece must be ready for auction at the end of the event. They must also prepare either sketches or a model of their design before the festival, in order to give the visitors a better insight into how a piece of work is realised. |
