Sheffield is a city built on creativity, industry and resilience with a wealth of historic buildings that tell powerful stories about its past. But too many of these sites, from steelworks to civic landmarks, are lying empty, neglected or under threat. Forging Futures is an afternoon of guided walks, talks and exhibitions, taking place at the Power Lab at Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield, celebrating Sheffield’s rich built heritage and exploring how we can all help protect it for the future. Whether it’s a crumbling workshop, an empty school or a disused chapel, these places matter and local people are key to bringing them back into use. |
