Established in 1984, Heritage Tile Conservation specialises in the conservation and restoration of architectural ceramics including:
- Roman, medieval, 19th- and 20th-century geometric, encaustic and mosaic pavements
- floor and wall tiles
- pictorial tile panels
- faience facades.
The company's considerable experience working with unique art and historic materials has enabled the development of a range of techniques to ensure the safe, efficient removal of original material where necessary.
Restoration work may be undertaken in situ or in the company's workshop. Original material can be cleaned, restored and remanufactured to exacting conservation standards. Once restored material may be reinstated or mounted and framed for display purposes.
