AMENITY BODY, NATIONAL
The UAHS seeks to encourage the preservation and restoration of buildings of merit and to promote their appreciation and enjoyment throughout the nine counties of Ulster. The Society produces books, organises lectures and outings, undertakes planning campaigns and works with other bodies to raise awareness of the built environment.
In association with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, the Society also compiles a Register of Built Heritage at Risk in Northern Ireland.
