The Bedford Park Society

AMENITY BODY
A registered charity, the Bedford Park Society was set up in 1963 to protect the amenities of the earliest garden suburb. The Society's website contains information about the architectural aspects of Bedford Park, as well as the extraordinary story of the social life in the suburb in the late 1870s through to the beginning of the Great War.
The Society programme 'From Knowledge comes Care' provides a free log book for each of the approximately 380 listed buildings in Bedford Park, with an architectural history of the particular house. The Society has also created 7 Technical Notes to guide owners on restoration and repair, covering aspects such as Brickwork, Joinery and Fireplaces. These can be consulted on the Society's website.
The Society is open to all those with an interest in Victorian architecture and the garden suburbs.
