Originally set up by the National Trust, Cliveden has an established reputation in conservation and reinstatement of sculpture, stone, plaster, mosaic, wall painting and stone carving. Expertise in logistics of moving, fixing, securing and storing of statuary and artefacts furthers its portfolio of skills.
Many commissions are concerned with remedying damage caused by external agents of decay or fire damage, with considerable expertise in the repair and cleaning of interior embellishments. Clients include National Trust, English Heritage, Museums, local authorities, ecclesiastical bodies, and owners of collections, estates and historic private residences.
Workshops are at Maidenhead and Bath, and work is carried out on site throughout Great Britain, Eire, Continental Europe and the USA. The company acts as a main contractor or specialist sub contractor, as appropriate. |
