Established in 1978, a non-profit-making organisation with charitable status offering world-wide service in leather conservation. The Centre undertakes practical conservation, training, research and analysis, consultancy work, and produces a wide-ranging series of publications on all aspects of leather conservation.
Its principal activity of fee-earning practical conservation work covers a wide range of historical items, including decorated screens, wall-hangings, car and carriage upholstery, harness and saddlery, costume, and archaeological and ethnographic items.
The LCC is included on the UKIC Conservation Register. |
