METALWORK
: Heritage Blacksmith Partnership specialises in the
conservation, restoration, repair and replication of heritage pieces in
wrought iron, steel, brass, bronze and copper. Experienced blacksmiths, both
partners are also trained in conservation theory and techniques. Contracts
have included conservation projects as diverse as the 19th century gates
of Lacock Abbey, Cardigan Castle and some large 16th century gates from
Seville Cathedral. The partnership also undertakes commissions, specialising
in the reinterpretation of old designs using original materials and techniques.
A specialist flame-cleaning and hand painting service specifically for
traditional ironwork, in-house and on site, is also offered.
