: BM TRADA’s technical consultants offer a cost-
effective holistic approach to conserving timber in historic buildings.
BM TRADA conducts in situ timber strength assessments using bespoke
visual strength grading with engineering support where enhanced timber
strength values are required. Timber surveys are undertaken using non-
destructive techniques including decay detection drilling. Partnerships
allow BM TRADA to examine the condition of the full range of building
materials. Where remedial treatment or timber repairs are required,
